Jake Haile

Director of Fitness

CrossFit Level 2 Trainer, CrossFit L2 Certified, Crossfit Gymnastics Certified, BA Psychology

Born and raised in Omaha, NE, moved to Fargo, ND in 2005 after graduating Westside High school. Played both baseball and lacrosse in high school before continuing lacrosse at the division 2 level for Minnesota State University Moorhead. My main area of study at university was in psychology, driving me to discover a passion for working with individuals with different physical, social, emotional and cognitive abilities.

It was my love for psychology and its effect on the overall attitudes a person holds about themselves and others that led me into the world of health and fitness. Combining my passion for working with individuals with different abilities and psychology led me to developing strength and conditioning programs to support different groups of people. These programs support people with special needs called Limitless Fitness for teens and adults with developmentally different abilities, Ready Steady Fitness teaching adults with Parkinson’s disease how to use boxing and CrossFit to fight back against their disease, and a training program for the Veterans and the active military of our community called the GOT YOUR 6 program all at CrossFit Fargo. CrossFit attracted me immediately with its desire and passion for helping all people to create positive change in their lives through movement through the use of both a functional and customizable movement programming and approach. Movement has become more to me than just physical fitness training. It is a way to both share and grow, no matter who you are, in becoming the person you deserve to be. The overall life transformations I see in our members on a daily basis continues to inspire me to strive to improve and grow in my own journey of life. Nancy Ellering

Enhance CrossFit & Programming Lead

CrossFit Level 2 Trainer, USA Weightlifting Level 1 Coach, Licensed Massage Therapist, FMT Mobility Specialist

I grew up in Vergas, MN, and graduated from Perham High School. I “played” a wide variety of sports in high school, because that’s what you do in a small town. I became well acquainted with the bench during games. but I loved the training and practice aspect of each sport nonetheless.

I went to Minnesota State University Moorhead where I earned a BA in Biology. At the Wellness Center you could find me crushing it on the elliptical and aimlessly hopping between weight machines. A lost soul in a sea of college bros just trying not to gain the Freshman15.

In 2015, I walked into a CrossFit gym for the first time, and the rest is history! I immediately fell in love with the sport. I loved how the movements made my body feel and the results that came with it. With each class I gained more confidence in not only the movements, but in myself. When I have a barbell in my hand, I feel invincible.

I believe that movement is medicine, and I strive to create an environment where athletes can not only move well, but live well.
